Full-Face SCBA and Respirator Testing

First responder programs require quantitative testing for full-face respirators. Qualitative methods cannot legally meet this requirement. AccuFit™ delivers defensible fit factors for SCBA facepieces and all tight-fitting respirators.

Equipment Reliability in the Field

A machine failure during testing means rescheduled shifts, overtime, and delayed compliance. AccuFit™'s all-in-one design and 3-year warranty mean fewer breakdowns and less disruption to operational readiness.

Testing Across Multiple Stations

Moving equipment between stations adds complexity to an already stretched program. AccuFit™'s portable all-in-one design makes it easy to transport and set up without IT support or a laptop.

Relevant Methods & Compliance

First responder respiratory protection programs are governed by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134, which mandates annual quantitative fit testing for all personnel required to wear tight-fitting respirators including SCBA facepieces. Full-face respirators require a minimum fit factor of 500, a threshold that qualitative testing methods cannot achieve or verify.

AccuFit™ and AccuFit PRO™ perform fit testing in accordance with the following standards:

  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134

The primary federal regulation governing respiratory protection programs, including mandatory annual fit testing and recordkeeping requirements. View OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134

  • OSHA Fast CNC Protocol 2019
OSHA-recognized protocol reducing quantitative fit test time to approximately 2.5 minutes. View OSHA 2019 Protocol Release.
  • ANSI/ASTM Z88.10

American National Standard for respirator fit testing procedures.

  • CSA Z94.4

Canadian Standards Association standard for respirator selection, use, and maintenance including fit testing requirements for Canadian first responder organizations.
